Couple featured in Netflix true crime series talks about their story in Seaside

SEASIDE, Calif. (KION-TV)- A couple who was accused by Vallejo Police of faking a kidnapping in 2015 made a stop in Seaside to share their experience to local law enforcement agencies.

Aaron Quinn and Denise Huskins spoke at the Embassy Suites in Seaside detailing their story that made national headlines.

In 2015, Huskins was kidnapped from her Vallejo home and police initially called it a hoax which accused Quinn of killing her.

Quinn and Huskins were attacked at their home as Huskins was kidnapped and sexually assaulting her before being let go.

Quinn attempted to report the crime to investigators but police insisted Huskins was never kidnapped.

The true suspect was captured and sentenced. Huskins and Quinn sued the city and reached a $2.5 million dollar settlement with Vallejo in 2018.

Their story was featured in the Netflix mini series 'American Nightmare,' which is out now.
