Warm weather returns

The last week of April starts with a short warm up, as higher pressure strengthens over the west coast.

Tuesday looks to be the warmest day this week.  On Wednesday, coastal areas will begin to cool. Cooler temperatures are expected in all areas Thursday and Friday.

Monday: Sunny after a few low clouds in the morning. Highs in the upper 60s to 70s on the coast with upper 70s to low 90s inland. Breezy at times with mostly clear skies by the afternoon.

Monday night: Mostly clear in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 50s to lower 60s. West winds 10 to 20 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny and warmer after a few coastal low clouds. Daytime highs will push into the 70s and 80s on the coast with 80s-90s inland.

Extended:  Temperatures will continue to drop through the weekend. Seasonably cool with through the end of the week. Slight chance for rain on Sunday.


The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for May 2nd-8th calls for the likelihood of ABOVE normal temperatures and BELOW normal precipitation.
