Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office save dog from water that was tired and holding onto a log

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV)- Earlier this week the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office responded to a dog stuck in the water at Valencia Creek.

The elderly owner was unable to pull out the dog. When deputies arrived the dog was tired and holding onto a log.

The dog began moving downstream and deputies, a Good Samaritan, and Animal Control Officers were able to pull the dog out.
