RUDY PICHA

Statement:

  • Like so many of you, I’m fed up with the wrong direction that the current city council is heading. We cannot and should not accept massive Potholes, Traffic Jams and Thousands of Houses being built. It’s time we take our city back from people that believe we should be a massive San Jose suburb.
  • I have lived in Hollister all my life and absolutely love my community and all the beauty that comes with it. As a teacher, I enjoy seeing our young people grow up and I want them to be able to enjoy the same things I did growing up in Hollister.
  • Our current council just voted to give a developer a $25 Million fee reduction. They also recently voted to expand city service lines, which will allow developers to build on 3000 acres of farmland along Buena Vista and Fairview. This will cost us more in taxes, create more potholes, massive traffic jams, impact our schools and destroy our existing infrastructure.
  • Let’s focus on taking care of our own beautiful community first. As your next councilman I will do exactly that!
  • I humbly ask for your vote on November 5th.
