PRISCILLA DE ANDA

Statement:

  • As a lifelong resident, I value the natural beauty and open spaces that surround our city. We live in an exceptional area, but now we have to dodge potholes and sit in traffic. If we don’t stand up now and protect and improve what we have, we will lose it forever.
  • Recently, our current council voted to waive $25 Million in fees to a developer with $2.2 Billion in Assets. To make matters worse this same developer will be able to avoid another $40 Million in property taxes by claiming non-profit status. Our current council also voted to extend sewer services across Fairview so that hundreds of additional houses can be built. Now, the city council is trying to extend the city service lines so that an additional 3000 acres of Farmland along Fairview, Union, Buena Vista can be developed into thousands of houses.
  • As your next city council representative I will represent the residents of Hollister and not developers. I will focus on fixing our roads and local infrastructure!
  • Let's take back our community together! I humbly ask for your support and vote.
