Man arrested for voluntary manslaughter in deadly Moss Landing fight
MOSS LANDING, Calif. (KION) - A man has been arrested in the fight that took place in Moss Landing Wednesday morning, leading to the death of one fisherman.
According to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office, 29-year-old Joshua Hotzclaw was arrested for voluntary manslaughter after a fight between Hotzclaw and 26-year-old Trenten Paul Black.

Witnesses near the area reported seeing two boats collide, with one of the men hopping onto the other's boat. Witnesses also say that it seemed Hotzclaw struck Black with a stick in the water.
Passersby attempted to save Black with a life preserver to no avail.
Hotzclaw returned to his boat with Black staying in the water with his body recovered around 1:20 p.m.
Hotzclaw is being held on one count of voluntary manslaughter.

MOSS LANDING, Calif. (KION-TV) - A body that was recovered in Moss Landing after a fight in the morning between two boaters has been identified by the Monterey County Sheriff's Office.
They say that the body is 26-year-old Trenten Paul Black of Aptos.
"Witnesses reported seeing one boat operator climbing onto the other’s boat and a physical confrontation occurred," according to the sheriff's office. "At one point, one subject was reported to have fallen into the water while the other assaulted him with a stick."
A search was initiated for the victim after a fight broke out around 9 a.m. after two boaters collided with one another, resulting in one fisherman in left in the water.
An investigation into the altercation continues, as well as Black's official cause of death.
Search for a man in Moss Landing after a fight between fishermen
A search is underway for a man after an argument earlier this morning in Moss Landing.
According to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office, two boats collided before 9 a.m., leading to a fight between two boat owners. The fight escalated to the point where both owners were in the water, one armed with a stick or an oar.
As one owner hit the other with the stick, they were able to make their way back to their boat, with the other unaccounted for.
Dive teams are currently aiding in the search along with California State Parks. Both boats have also been recovered and returned to land.
