BIG SUR, Calif. (KION) -- Three hikers needed rescue in separate incidents in Big Sur, ranging from injury to a cliff rescue on Thursday.

Multiple agencies are responding after reports of a hiker possibly falling off a cliff in Monterey County.

Cal Fire says reports first came in around noon from the Partington Cove area in Big Sur.

Monterey County Regional Fire Department posted on Instagram about that incident, but two other incidents alongside video footage of a rescue.

Their caption stated, "These incidents don’t just require a helicopter. Teams often must hike into remote, steep, and normally inaccessible areas just to locate the patient. It is all teamwork from the ground, air, and dispatch."

All the rescues were a team effort with Cal Fire BEU, North Monterey County Fire, Monterey County Regional Fire, and Monterey City Fire.
