Man arrested for drug, gun posession in Watsonville after search warrant
SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A man was arrested in Watsonville for drug and gun possession after a lengthy pursuit from Soledad.
Salinas Police VSTF (Violence Suprresiong Task Force) was investigating the undisclosed suspect for possession of guns and drugs, attempting to stop him in Soledad on March 25.
Soon after that attempt, he led the officers on a 28-mile pursuit tossing out the drugs and a handgun on the way. The suspect had gotten away while officers searched his home finding two more firearms.

A few days following that pursuit, the suspect was found in Watsonville with Salinas SWAT and VSTF on the scene. They arrested the suspect who had a gun tucked into his waistband.
Officers searched the home he hid in, finding cocaine, meth and other equipment used for the sale of drugs.
On April 2, VSTF served a warrant in King City recovering two stolen dirt bikes and about two pounds of powdered fentanyl.
The suspect was a convicted felon with a history of selling drugs.
