Greenfield seeks offering reward in teen hit-and-run investigation

GREENFIELD, Calif. (KION-TV) - The City of Greenfield will oversee a resolution to fund a reward for information on a suspect in a February hit-and-run investigation.

An upcoming resolution to approve the funding comes after the Greenfield City Council meeting on February 25th discussing the matter.

An unidentified driver hit a 17-year-old Greenfield High School senior at 6:45 p.m. near Walnut Avenue and 13th Street. The victim was out on a run when the hit-and-run happened, sustaining injuries and being treated at a local hospital.

CHP Monterey found evidence at the scene that coincided with the vehicle that struck the teenager.

If approved, the resolution will reward those with information and insight that can help with the ongoing investigation.

As for the reward's sum, that will be discussed at the upcoming meeting.

The Greenfield City Council will meet on Tuesday, March 11, at 6 p.m.
