Roads close across Central Coast due to storm impacts

CENTRAL COAST, Calif. (KION) -- Roads throughout the Central Coast continue to be impacted by serve storm impacts from slides to floods.

Fern Canyon Road in Carmel Highlands off Highway 1 is closed off due to severe storm impacts that caused road damage as posted by the County of Monterey's Facebook page.

A partial road closure of Holohan Road at E. Lake Avenue was issued due to the overflow from Corralitos Creek earlier today.

Soquel San Jose Rd is closed due to rock and mudslides caused by the current storm Thursday morning.

CHP Santa Cruz urges those driving to stay safe as the storm continues. They also encourage those seeing any hazard to report to CHP immediately.
