Three killed in two separate crashes, Morgan Hill Police say
MORGAN HILL, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Morgan Hill Police said officers responded to two separate crashes that resulted in three deaths on Sunday morning.
Deadly solo-vehicle crash along Third Street and Monterey Road
Around 3 a.m., Morgan Hill Police said they responded to a crash in the downtown area at Third and Monterey.
According to police, the driver lost control of their car and crashed into multiple trees and a fire hydrant before coming to a stop.
The driver died at the scene. No identifying information about the driver was immediately provided by police.
Multiple people killed in crash along Monterey Road near Middle Avenue
Five hours later, Morgan Hill Police responded to a crash involving two vehicles along Monterey Road near Calderon Tires and Middle Avenue.
Police said their preliminary investigation shows a car traveling north on Monterey Road was moving at a high rate of speed, lost control and crashed into a vehicle traveling south.
The drivers of both cars died at the scene, according to police. No identifying information about the drivers or vehicles was provided for that crash as well.
