Panther Otter Pathway program launches, allowing students who enroll at Hartnell a path to CSUMB

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- CSUMB and Hartnell announced the launch of the joint Panther Otter Pathway Program.

The program allows students to enroll in Hartnell, the POP program and apply to CSUMB with guaranteed admission.

This allows students to be simultaneously admitted to Hartnell and CSUMB, allowing them to earn an Associate's Degree for Transfer from Hartnell.

"The goal is to remove barriers in access to higher education and create a clear pathway to lead our students to economic and social mobility, said Hartnell College President Michael Gutierrez.

The statement from both colleges said the program is expected to increase graduation rates for participating students.

"We are pleased to announce this new program with Hartnell College that further enhances social mobility in our communities and streamlines the process for students to continue their studies with us once they complete their associate for transfer degrees."
