Santa Cruz County vehicle pursuit ends in arrest

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Capitola police said one person was arrested after a chase through Santa Cruz County involving multiple agencies.

Police said on Friday, an officer was performing a traffic stop around 6:11 p.m. when they said the officer recognized the driver of a Ford from prior police contacts.

Investigators said the suspect was involved in multiple recent incidents with other agencies, including evading, resisting and making criminal threats.

Police said the suspect didn't stop and a chase started on Wharf Road and continued into Soquel.

The suspect was safely taken into custody after the chase.

Police said no injuries were reported.
