SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KION-TV) -- 49ers fans could see record-breaking temperatures when kickoff time rolls around at Levi's Stadium during the team's home game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Sunday could see temps as high as 99 degrees, with temperatures hovering above the 90's about an hour before kick off time.

The previous record, according to reporting from ESPN citing Accuweather, was 88 degrees at kickoff time for a regular season game back on October 3, 2021.

The Niners hosted the Chargers in a preseason game on August 31, 2017 that saw temperatures at kickoff at 90 degrees.

Head Coach Kyle Shanahan said they'll have extra IV's on hand for players before, during and after the game to make sure the team stays hydrated.

Team officials are warning fans to take all the necessary precautions and stay hydrated if they're at the game on Sunday.

Kickoff is at 1:05 p.m.
