Two men killed in Seaside DUI crash including homeless pedestrian, police say

SEASIDE, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Seaside Police said two men were killed in a Seaside DUI crash late Sunday night, including a homeless pedestrian.

According to police, a vehicle traveling 100 miles per hour on Del Monte Blvd drove onto the island at Del Monte and Fremont, striking a pedestrian who was on the island.

The driver was ejected from the car after it continued onto Fremont and crashed through a raised partition for the left turn lane onto Fremont and overturned.

Police said the vehicle had multiple occupants from Watsonville, all who were under the influence of alcohol.

Investigators also said the driver had a suspended license and was on DUI probation.

The identities of both of the deceased has not been released at this time.
