D’oh!: Simpsons car busted for speeding on Central Coast

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- CHP-Monterey is warning about speeding after a blue exotic vehicle with a Simpsons theme was busted for speeding during Car Week.

The post from the CHP appears to indicate the vehicle was traveling 90 miles an hour, which is above the speed limit no matter where you drive on the Central Coast.

The hood of the car features Homer Simpson surrounded by an impressive number of donuts.

"We could smell him speeding and had to stop him," according to the CHP. "Some people really want our attention."

Despite the light-hearted nature of the vehicle itself, the CHP said speeding is no joke. They're reminding people to maintain a safe speed at all times.
