City of Soledad warns of spam texts to people in the city

SOLEDAD, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The City of Soledad is issuing an alert to people in the community about a potential spam text being sent out posing as the city.

According to the city, the texts are coming from a "Dynata using the number 360-578-7022."

The notice said the text is asking people to complete a quick survey on issues important to the people of Soledad.

The city said they're not currently conducting a survey through the company and are asking residents to be cautions when receiving the message.

They're asking people not to open links from any unknown source as they can be a possible scam.
