WATCH: Video shows man walking away from fire sparked along Roy Diaz Street in Salinas on windy day
SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- KION security video shows a man walking away from a fire in that started in a field between Roy Diaz Street and the KION News station in Salinas on Sunday.
The video was taken around 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
The man appearing in frame after laying down near some bushes along Roy Diaz Street for some time.
Video shows the man walking down toward the riverbed and walking northbound.
The man then stops and bends forward toward Roy Diaz Street for a dozen or so seconds.
Video then shows the man speed-walking away from where he was bent over and shortly after some smoke and flames start coming out from that part of the ground.
Police have been notified about the incident.
