SEASIDE, Calif. (KION) - Monterey Bay F.C. (4-5-3, 15 points) will open a three-match homestand Wednesday against Eastern Conference leaders Charleston Battery (8-1-3, 27 points).

The showdown marks the first of three matches that will happen within the span of just 11 days.

During that stretch, the Union will face some of the top teams in the USL Championship. Charleston leads the Eastern Conference, New Mexico United (7-2-1, 22 points) leads the Western Conference, and Sacramento Republic (5-0-6, 21 points) only trails New Mexico by one point.

Monterey Bay F.C. will face Charleston on Wednesday, May 29, New Mexico on Sunday, June 2, and Sacramento on Saturday, June 8.

Heading into the homestand, the Crisp and Kelp are currently on a six-match winless streak, spanning back to April. As the Union look to break back into the win column, the side will be shorthanded, without six players due to injury.
