Salinas City Elementary School District unveils new electric bus fleet

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- A Salinas school district is taking steps to go green.

The Salinas City Elementary School District rolled out ten new electric school buses on Wednesday morning.

District officials said that the buses will primarily serve students with special needs which will provide them with a quieter ride to school.

According to the district, they hope these new buses could help students become more successful in the classroom.
