SALINAS, CALIF. (KION-TV)- Salinas Police arrest two people after a car chase ended in a non injury crash overnight Saturday.

At around 12:30 a.m., officers tried stopping a GMC Yukon near the 200 block of Main Street for violating some CVC violations. As soon as police tried stopping the car, a passenger from the car fled but was immediately caught by an officer in the area. The suspect was also found to have an unregistered 9 mm handgun on them.

The Yukon continued driving away from police which resulted in a pursuit. Officers continued to pursue the vehicle southbound on Pajaro Street where it ran several stop signs and red lights. During the pursuit, a patrol vehicle crashed into another car. No injuries were reported.

Shortly after the non injury accident, the suspect crashed into parked vehicles. Officers set up a perimeter and utilized a drone to find the last suspect and take him into custody. Both suspects were booked into the Monterey County Jail for several felony charges.
