80th Salinas Valley Fair set to start on Thursday

KING CITY, Calif. (KION-TV)- A Central Coast tradition unlike any other returns to the King City on Thursday.

The 80th Salinas Valley Fair takes place this Thursday and will last until Sunday May 19 at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds.

There will be a 4-H and FFA Livestock Exhibitions. Fair officials said there will be motorcycle racing on Thursday night.

The gates will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. There will be plenty of live music and your favorite fair foods.

The main concert takes place on Saturday night when Maddie and Tae will be performing at the Stampede Arena. The concert starts at 4 p.m.

Thursday will be a Kid's Holiday which is free admission to all children 12 and under.

Adults who are 60 and over and special education tour groups will be able to get into the fair for free on Friday.

Active duty military personnel and their spouses will be able to enter the fair for free on Saturday with a military ID.

Tickets for the Fair start at $12 for adults. If you want to attend the Maddie and Tae concert, you will have to buy a separate ticket.
