PG&E: Thousands without power in Aptos area

APTOS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- More than 6,000 people are without power in the Aptos area, according to PG&E.

The cause of the outage is unknown, but PG&E says they first started receiving reports about the outage around 12:50 p.m.

CHP Santa Cruz is informing people they should expect power to be out until around 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

The CHP also says traffic lights along parts of Soquel Drive may be affected by the outage.
