Monterey Bay F.C. to face Sacramento Republic FC in U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 match
SEASIDE, Calif. (KION-TV)- And then there were 32 teams left standing.
It will be a Northern California rivalry as Monterey Bay F.C. will now take on the Sacramento Republic in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
The game will be on Tuesday May 7 at 7:30 p.m.
In a Wednesday have the Crisp and Kelp going up the I-5 and taking on the Republic who are 3-3-0 in USL Championship play. In 2022, Sacramento had a magical run to the U.S. Open Cup Final losing to Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer
On Wednesday, it was a magical debut for midfielder Jerry Ayon who scored two goals in a 2-1 victory over Irvine Zeta FC. The Salinas native recently signed with his hometown club on Monday.
The winner of this match will host the winner of Oakland Roots SC and San Jose Earthquakes in the Round of 16.
