CSUMB offering Guaranteed Back-Up Scholarship help for students dealing with FAFSA delays

SEASIDE, Calif. (KION-TV) -- CSUMB is offering to help students dealing with delays with the FAFSA process by providing "Guaranteed Back-Up Scholarships."

The program offers up to $4,000 for eligible California residents admitted for Fall 2024.

The following criteria must be met in order to qualify:

●       Successful completion of all sections of the CSU Apply Application

●       California resident students admitted to CSUMB for Fall 2024

●       Demonstrated financial need based on household size, family income, and first-generation college student status

●       Submission of the FAFSA to CSUMB by May 2 with Pell and/or State Aid eligibility

According to CSUMB, the funding will come from CSUMB's reserves.
