Two men arrested after allegedly shooting at two people with a BB gun in Watsonville, police say
WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION-TV)- Watsonville Police said they have arrested two 19-year-old men who allegedly shot at two people with a BB gun early Thursday morning.
Officers said the shooting took place on the 400 block of Rodriguez Street around 1:30 a.m.
Police arrived on scene and found two people who had BB gun wounds. Officers said that both victims are expected to be okay.
Witnesses told officers at the scene that they saw two suspects with one of them wearing a ski mask and driving in a white car.
Police said that they were able to spot that car driving recklessly and pulled the vehicle over on the 100 block of Main Street.
Investigators said they located the BB gun used in the shooting as well as the ski mask that one of the suspects were wearing at the time of the shooting
Watsonville Police identified the suspects as Guillermo Rodriguez Carrillo and Alejandro Mata. Carrillo and Mata were arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
Both men are booked on multiple charges including assault with deadly weapon, conspiracy, willful discharge of a BB gun in a negligent manner and vandalism charges.
Police said that Carrillo and Mata are also accused of shooting out several businesses in the downtown area.
