Santa Cruz Warriors advance to the Western Conference semifinals
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV)- The Santa Cruz Warriors will be moving on in the 2024 NBA G-League Playoffs as they defeated the Salt Lake City Stars with a 113-111 nail bitter at Kaiser Permanente Arena.
Warriors guard Pat Spencer came off the bench with 20 points, six rebounds and six assists. Center Usman Garuba helped out with a double-double as he had 18 points and 19 rebounds.
Stars forward Darius Bazley led both teams in scoring with 30 points with 12 rebounds and five assists. Bazley was on assignment from the Utah Jazz.
The Sea Dubs had seven players score in double digits in the Warriors first home playoff game since 2018-19 season.
The Warriors will head to the 209 as they will take on the Stockton Kings at Stockton Arena on Thursday night. Both teams split the season series at 2-2.
The Sea Dubs are looking for their second G-League Championship since moving to Santa Cruz.
