Monterey CHP arrest suspect in connection to non-injury shooting
MONTEREY COUNTY, CALIF. (KION-TV)- Monterey CHP and allied agencies arrested a suspect connected to a shooting that took place last week.
On March 22nd at around 11:04 a.m., the Monterey Communication Center sent out a report of a shooting that happened southbound on Highway 1 between Highways 218 and 68 in Seaside. According to reports, a shooter was firing a handgun at the victim vehicle.
The victim’s vehicle did suffer damage from the bullets, but no one was injured.
On March 28, CHP officers and other partnering agencies were able to find the suspect's vehicle and conducted an enforcement stop. The suspect, whose name is unknown at this time, was apprehended without any incident.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail.
