MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV)- The County Of Monterey are now taking applications for the 2024 Ag Pass program.

The Monterey County Agricultural Commissioner's Office said that 34 local agricultural staff went through training in 2023.

The program provides farmers and other workers with a pass can show to emergency staff at disaster road blocks.

This would allow farmers to gain access to their fields during major storms and other natural disasters.

Applications have opened and will be accepted until March 29th. County staff says those training sessions begin in May.
