Gilroy Police looking for three suspects involved hate speech graffiti incident at Christopher High School

GILROY, Calif. (KION-TV)- On Wednesday morning, Gilroy Police confirmed that they are looking for three suspects who allegedly wrote hate speech graffiti at Christopher High School on Monday night.

Officers said that three suspects entered the school around 11:40 p.m. on Monday night and wrote hate graffiti all onto the walls of the school.

Investigators said that the suspects ransacked several classrooms as well.

Police said that their school resource officer is investigating the incident and working closely with school staff to gather evidence.

Gilroy Unified School District investigating act of vandalism involving hate speech at Christopher High School

The Gilroy Unified School District confirmed to KION that they are investigating an act of vandalism involving hate speech at Christopher High School.

District officials confirmed that the act of vandalism took place on campus on Monday night. The district said they are cooperating with agencies investigating an act of vandalism that involved hate speech.

"The District’s leadership team is committed to working with our school communities to learn from these episodes and to foster further conversations about antisemitism, bias and racism.  

Because this is an active investigation, the Gilroy Unified School District is unable to provide further comment regarding the nature of the incident.  We remain committed to ensuring our school communities are inclusive for all students and staff members now and in the future."
