Jim Harbaugh to become head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KION-TV)- After a 10 year absence away from the NFL, Jim Harbaugh will be heading to Southern California.

The Los Angeles Chargers will be hiring the Michigan head coach according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Harbaugh's name has been in the coaching rumor mill this season. As a college head coach, Harbaugh has a 144-52 record including winning three Big Ten Conference titles and a National Championship with Michigan.

Harbaugh spent four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014 which included two NFC West Titles, three straight NFC Championship Games and an appearance in Super Bowl XLVII.

If you are already planning your NFL road trip, the Chargers will be playing the Baltimore Ravens next season in Inglewood which his brother John is currently the head coach.
