Two Hollister women arrested after allegedly stabbing a woman in the San Benito Riverbed, deputies say
HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION-TV)- The San Benito County Sheriff's Office confirmed that two Hollister women were arrested on attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing a woman in the San Benito Riverbed.
Deputies said that the stabbing took place around 3:18 p.m. in a section of the Riverbed located off of 4th Street and San Juan Hollister Road.
Deputies said that the incident started when wo Hollister women in their 30s allegedly slashed a woman's tent with the woman inside.
Investigators said that the victim confronted both suspects and she was allegedly held down and then stabbed in the upper torso.
Deputies located a woman who was living in the riverbed. Investigators said that they located a woman with a stab wound to her upper torso.
The woman was transported to a local trauma for further treatment.
Investigators were able to locate two suspects who were leaving the area and deputies found that the suspects were in possession of a knife that was allegedly used in the stabbing.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into the San Benito County Jail on multiple charges including attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies said that the suspects seemed to know where the woman lived but they were not related.
