CHP Monterey investigating non-injury shooting

MONTEREY COUNTY, CALIF. (KION-TV)- California Highway Patrol Monterey is investigating a shooting that happened on Highway 101 on Monday January 22nd.

Around 5:25 p.m. on Monday, officers responded to a call of a possible freeway shooting incident that occurred on northbound US-101 near the Abbott Street exit. Officers reached out to the victim and confirmed that there were no injuries from the shooting.

During the investigation, officers found damage to the victim’s car from the shooting. The incident is still under investigation at this time.
