Murphy Road Crossing to be closed on Monday due to possible flooding concerns

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV)- The County of Monterey announced that Murphy Road Crossing will be closed due to possible flooding concerns from the Pajaro River.

County officials said the closure will take effect at 8 a.m. County officials also said that they expect the storm system to increase the water levels of the Pajaro River to flood the road.

The closure does not indicate there is a current flooding threat to Pajaro according to the County of Monterey.
