Community Human Services hosting an open house for new micro-shelter model

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION-TV)- On Friday, Community Human Services will be hosting an open house for a new micro-shelter model to help people in need to seek shelter from cold weather.

Pallet which is the company that makes the micro shelters are not meant to stay in permanently but could be the next step needed for people who need permanent housing.

Community Human Services says that some of the latest models will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Shuman Hearthouse Shelter on East Franklin Street.
