Emergency repair work on San Lorenzo River Levee to start on Monday
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV)- The City of Santa Cruz public works department is scheduled to start their emergency repair work on the San Lorenzo Levee on Monday.
City officials said that the recent storm damaged a section of the western levee near the San Lorenzo River outlet due to sizeable wave activity.
The damage was minor and mainly consisted of soil erosion and displaced rip rap.
Crews are expected to finish the repair work through Friday Jan. 12 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The path will be closed to all pedestrian and bicycle traffic until work is completed.
