Salinas cannabis business burglarized, police looking for suspect involved

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- Salinas Police said they are looking for a suspect who allegedly stole $2,000 in items from a cannabis store on December 27.

Police said the incident took place at the CannaCruz cannabis business located on 1100 block of Abbott Street.

Investigators said that the suspect allegedly went through the front door of business and stole cannabis products plus money from the store.

"There might've been an internal damage also besides the front door, as far as breaking items to steal what he wanted to steal," Salinas Police Commander Brian Johnson said.

Johnson told KION that the suspect exited through the emergency exit out of the back of the store.

Johnson also said that there was a vehicle that took off from the store just shortly after the suspect left.

However, it is unknown if the suspect got into a dark sedan.

Salinas Police said that the suspect is 5'7 to 5'8 and was wearing a hat, mask and gloves on the day of the burglary.

If you have any information on the case, you are asked to contact Salinas Police.
