Monterey Police: Body of missing Monterey man found

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION-TV)- Monterey Police confirm the body of a missing Monterey man was found after initially being reported missing in late July.

Monterey Police said that 43-year-old Salvatore Lucido was last seen by his girlfriend at his residence on the 500 block of David Avenue on Saturday afternoon around 2:30 p.m.

Lucido left on his black and gold bike and also left his cell phone at his residence.

Lucido's bike was found on the dead end of Shafter Avenue in Pacific Grove.

A cause of death was not confirmed by police who said the coroner's office is still investigating.

In a post on social media, family members would also not confirm a cause of death.
