San Francisco man sentenced to over 100 years in prison for Rianda Circle deadly shooting and stabbing his girlfriend’s aunt, DA’s office said

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- UPDATE ON MARCH 14, 2024 AT 8:24 PM- A San Francisco man was sentenced to over 100 years in prison for multiple crimes including a deadly shooting on the 200 block of Rianda Circle per the Monterey County District Attorney's Office.

On Thursday morning, 36-year-old Anthony Michael Jacinto was sentenced to 75 years to life for the murder of 32-year-old Isamel "Angel" Ledesma on June 26, 2023.

The DA's Office said that Jacinto also received an additional sentence of 28 years for stabbing his girlfriend's aunt on the same day. Monterey County District Attorney Jeannine M Pacioni said that Jacinto also committed an armed robbery in Nevada which doubled his sentence.

The DA's Office said that the jury found true enhancements that the defendant caused great bodily
injury and used a deadly or dangerous weapon in the commission of the offenses. T

According to Pacioni, Jacinto went to the home of Ledesma which was on the train tracks around 12:30 a.m. of June 26 near the 200 block of Rianda Circle.

Pacioni said that Jacinto shot Ledesma eight times and hitting Ledesma in the torso.

Jacinto fled the scene and Ledesma died at a local hospital. Pacioni said that Jacinto's shooting was pre-planned based on his cell phone's records and recovered DNA from the untraceable semi-automatic pistol that Jacinto used.

On the night of June 26th, Pacioni said that Jacinto went to the home of his girlfriend's aunt in Salinas.

Jacinto was eating dinner with his girlfriend's family when he picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed her aunt in the abdomen. Pacioni said that Jacinto held the knife in her abdomen for more than 20 seconds.

Jacinto fled the scene and his girlfriend's aunt was transported to Natividad Medical Center.

Pacioni said that his girlfriend's aunt did die at the hospital but doctors were able to revive her.

36-year-old man arrested in Rianda Circle deadly shooting

UPDATE ON NOV. 15, 2023 AT 1:35 PM- On Thursday afternoon, Salinas Police announced that they have arrested a suspect involved in a deadly shooting back in June.

Salinas Police identified the suspect as 36-year-old Anthony Michael Jacinto who was already booked into the Monterey County Jail on unrelated charges.

On Nov. 8, 2023, Police booked Jacinto on the murder of 32-year-old Isamel "Angel" Ledesma.

On June 27, 2023, Police responded to the area of responded to a ShotSpotter activation on the railroad tracks to near the 200 block of Rianda Circle.

When officers got to the scene they located Ledesma who was found near a tent with a gunshot wound.

Ledesma was taken to a local trauma center and died from his injuries.

Salinas Police said that although an arrest has been made, this is still an active investigation. If you have any information regarding this case, you are asked to contact Salinas Police.

Salinas Police looking for suspect in Rianda Circle shooting homicide

Salinas Police said they are looking for a suspect wanted in a shooting homicide that occurred on Rianda Circle Monday.

Police said around 12:30 a.m. they responded to a ShotSpotter alert of shots fired in the area of Rianda Circle. Ismael "Angel" Ledesma, 32, was found near a tent with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a local trauma center and later died of his injuries.

Salinas Police said they do not have any suspect information at this time.
