Felon arrested and found with loaded gun, drugs and tear gas in Santa Cruz County

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV)- The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said they arrested a felon with a warrant out for his arrest earlier this week.

Heriberto Navarro, 34, was found while driving and was arrested on East Lake Avenue and Lincoln Street in Royal Oaks, said deputies.

He was found with a loaded gun in his waistband, drugs, a switchblade and tear gas, said deputies.

He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail for obstructing/resisting, carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, possession of a controlled substance while armed, and other charges, per deputies.
