Deputies recover $150K of stolen equipment in Santa Cruz County

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV)- The Santa Cruz Auto Theft Reduction Enforcement Taskforce served a warrant Wednesday on the 30000 block of Highland Way.

Detectives said they found six reported stolen vehicles worth $150,000. This included heavy machinery equipment, belonging to different victims.

"SCARE is a multi-agency task force made up of detectives from our office, CHP-Santa Cruz, Watsonville PD and the District Attorney’s Office," said deputies. "We are thankful for partnerships like these that help keep our community safe."
