Memorials vandalized at Greenfield cemetery
GREENFIELD, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Flowers, statues and crosses at memorials in the Greenfield cemetery were left scattered and desecrated, prompting a Greenfield Police investigation.
Police say the incident happened Monday morning and have received calls from family members checking on the gravesites of their loved ones.
Investigators say they believe the vandalisms happened between 10 and 11 a.m. Monday. Police were notified of the incident around 2 p.m.
In response, police say they'll conduct additional patrols in and around the Holy Trinity and the Greenfield cemeteries.
