Fire near King City now 100% contained

KING CITY, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 6/8/2020 11 a.m. Cal Fire said a fire near King City has been 100% contained at 211 acres.

PREVIOUS STORY: On the Central Coast fire crews responded to a fire this afternoon near King City. An estimated 200 acres burned approximately six miles north east of King City on Bitterwater Road.

Cal Fire responded to a vegetation fire at about 1:30 p.m. Forward progress on the blaze was stopped within two hours.

Eleven aircraft and eight fire engines responded.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
