CHP: Projectile incident reported at 101 and Dunbarton, reward increased

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) On the heels of yet another incident where a projectile strikes a car, the CHP is increasing the reward for information which leads to the arrest of the suspect responsible.

The CHP confirms to KION that another projectile incident took place at Highway 101 near Dunbarton Road.

A commuter traveling along that road was struck by a projectile, according to the CHP, however no one was hurt.

CHP says the left-rear window was struck and that this is the 44th incident related to its projectile investigation.

As of today the reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect involved has been increased by $4,000. That total is now at $8,500 overall.

Anyone with information should contact the California Highway Patrol immediately. The Monterey County Sheriff's Office is also assisting with the investigation.

On last check the CHP says they're working with more than a hundred leads related to this investigation.
