Widespread power outages across Santa Cruz County

SANTA CRUZ, Calif (KION) More than 9,000 customers are without power in Santa Cruz County as the area faces widespread power outages.

The largest outage is impacting an area near Capitola and Soquel with 8,686 customers experiencing an electrical outage according to a map on Pacific Gas & Electric's website.

The outage reportedly began at 10:26 a.m. Sunday. There is no estimated time of restoration yet.

There are also dozens of other smaller outages across the county, including Aptos, Rio Del Mar and Live Oak.
