WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The Watsonville Police Department said Tuesday that they are investigating incidents of back-to-back shootings that took place over the weekend and on Monday night.

They said that a video is circulating on social media that alleges several gang members filming a video near the fire station on Second Street on Sunday. According to police, officers responded to calls of a fight in that area.

While officers were on scene, they said that more reports of a shooting on Sudden Street came in--about 6 p.m.--but no shooting victim has been located at this time. They say that detectives are still actively investigating.

Additionally, there was an alleged drive-by shooting that took place on the 400 block of Second Street a little after 10 p.m. on Monday, according to police.

They said that when they got on scene, they saw that one home had been struck twice but that no person was injured.

Watsonville Police are working with the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team to investigate the incidents and determine whether they are connected.

They are asking anyone with further information to call Detective Robert Strong at 831.768.3355.
