Deputies catch car thief suspect early Sunday morning

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Deputies say that they were able to located a suspect, Jack Harpe, prowling and checking car door handles in the Soquel area early Sunday morning.

They said that thanks to neighbor reports and swift action, they arrested Harpe and booked him into the main jail.

Deputies walked the neighborhood to check for additional victims and are asking people who might have more information to please contact dispatch at 831-471-1121.
