Body discovered on Davenport beach identified; Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office

DAVENPORT, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office confirmed Monday that they were called out around 8:20 a.m. for reports of a body discovered in the water on a beach in Davenport.

The body has been positively identified as 55-year-old Paul Broseman, according to the sheriff's office.

They said that the fire crews were able to get the body out of the water, but that they person was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The coroner is working on identifying the person and notifying the family before releasing the person's identification, according to the Sheriff's Office.
