Stabbing victim succumbs to wounds Monday night; Salinas Police
SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Salinas Police announced Thursday that the victim from Monday's deadly stabbing, identified as 20-year-old Juan Carlos Diaz-Cruz, was in an altercation with another male when he was fatally stabbed in the abdomen.
Salinas Police Department Detectives say that although no arrests have been made at this time, they have located a video that shows the suspect. They are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the adult male in the photo.
Police are asking the public that if they know the suspect, do not try and approach or make contact with him, instead, call Detective Robbie Miller at (831) 758-7945, or (831) 775-4222 to remain anonymous.
Salinas Police announced Monday that the victim from a stabbing that occurred on September 15 at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Beech Street and Dewey Avenue, has died from the stab wounds.
According to police, a 20-year-old male suffered from serious stab wounds to the abdomen and was taken to Natividad Medical Center. The patient underwent emergency surgery but succumbed to his wounds at approximately 10:45 p.m., the Salinas Police said.
Police say that no arrests have been made in connection to the stabbing and that this is an active investigation.
