Caltrans reopens a section of Highway 1 between Monterey and San Luis Obispo counties

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Caltrans District 5 announced Friday that the section of Highway 1 between Ragged Point and Gorda slightly south of Monterey County has been reopened.

Caltrans crews were on scene at first light today to clear slide material from the roadway which included a 5 ft. diameter boulder that fell Thursday night in the storms, according to Caltrans.
